KRISTEN FICARA
Kristen Ficara got her start in production through music. She has produced several songs and has been a featured vocalist on multiple records, one, Forever, becoming a #1 trance record. Had it not been for her experience with music, Kristen says she might have never found her way to directing and producing. Music production fueled her interest and she branched out and started producing a live talk radio show, The Fitness Guru. Monday through Friday, live at 5pm on Sirius. Kristen did everything from story concepts to researching, booking and writing guest interviews to filling in as the guest co-cost. Her success there encouraged her to branch out even further into television production. She started as an intern at Manhattan’s Neighborhood Network and in less than a year and a half is now the Director and Producer of three shows, Take a Chance, On the NY Circuit, and Ready to Groove. As she continues to produce these shows, she is also developing content with her partner Chance von Spiessbach, for their new production company, The Fearless Productions, and has taken yet another step - into journalism – as the head entertainment reviewer for KougarMagazine.com.
All of this hasn’t pulled Kristen away from the music that brought her here. She is currently working with Producer and Musician Larry Baeder on a new jazz album and will start performing this fall.
